At Breakaway Multisport we understand the many expectations of our clients and strive  to
meet and surpass these expectations as we guide them along the path to realizing their
athletic dreams. Our mission is to provide much more than merely a training schedule and the
occasional "rah-rah" email. Mentor, motivator, taskmaster, time manager, trainer, planner,
teacher, and equipment consultant are a few of the many hats we wear as a triathlon coaches.

With our athletes we try to use our combined knowledge and experience to build a training
program that will not only help them reach the realistic goals that we set, but also do so
without putting undue strain on their careers and family lives. We feel that it is most important
that we keep priorities straight and our athletes must recognize that, even though we strive for
excellence, their sporting endeavors should enhance, not overshadow, the other aspects of
their lives.

Our training calendars often include spouse's and children's birthdays, anniversaries, and job
oriented events. Planning around such things avoids personal conflict and stress, helping to
maintain balance in life. Keeping life in balance is very often the biggest challenge in coaching
athletes, as they are so eager to reach that next level that they sometimes can lose the big
picture. Our job is to push our athletes to the limits required to reach their physical potential,
insure that they take the necessary recovery time to perform at their best, keep them healthy
and injury free, and still know when to make them hold back and live their lives. We want to see
our athletes hit the finish line with a personal best, a big smile, with their friends and family
cheering them on.
